Premier Contract Supplies are a fast-growing family business with a head office in Farnborough. We are suppliers of sanitary-ware to the new build market, buying products from a large mix of suppliers, helping house builders create a specification and then distributing from one of our five warehouses across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join our Purchasing department in Bury St Edmunds. As a dedicated Purchasing Assistant, you will be strong at dealing with high levels of problem solving, be a team player as well as being able to work independently, with good attention to detail and outstanding communicative skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing purchase orders and ensuring that we are buying in at the correct price and margin. This includes call off orders being processed weekly/quarterly/fortnightly as required.
  • Stock management responsible for ensuring that we are utilising slow moving or deadstock before ordering, as well as ensuring that key stock lines are maintained for group deal customers.
  • Working with internal sales to ensure stock is being called in correctly and site orders are being placed in a timely manner.
