With teams based around the UK, we provide complete solutions for passive fire protection compliance. Our expertise includes ventilation systems, passive fire protection, fire door maintenance, and fire damper services, delivering high-quality, compliant outcomes for clients in various sectors.
Location: Field-based role covering sites across the UK. The position involves occasional staying away from home. Overnight stays are organised and paid for by the company, and the employee will receive a daily allowance a week in arrears for their time away.

Role Summary: As a Ventilation and Ductwork Hygiene Operative at Premier Compliance UK, you will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and hygiene of ventilation systems and ductwork to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory compliance, particularly following DW144 guidelines (Specification for Sheet Metal Ductwork) published by the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA). This practical, hands-on role involves site visits to commercial, industrial, and public sector buildings, performing hygiene tasks to prevent contamination, improve air quality, and support overall building safety. The position requires flexibility for travel and occasional overnight stays, with a commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality service to clients in sectors such as healthcare, education, and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough cleaning and hygiene maintenance of ductwork and ventilation systems in accordance with DW144 guidelines and other relevant UK regulations.
- Perform inspections, decontamination, and remedial works to remove grease, dust, and contaminants, ensuring systems are safe and efficient.
- Use specialised equipment for accessing and cleaning ductwork, including in confined spaces and at heights.
- Prepare detailed reports on hygiene activities, including before-and-after photos, using our online life reporting software system.
- Always adhere to health and safety protocols, including completing risk assessments and ensuring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay updated on DW144 guidelines and industry best practices through ongoing training.
- Travel to various sites across the UK as scheduled by the office team.
Essential Requirements:
