  • Identify and carry out basic remedial works on faulty dampers, including cleaning, installation of access doors, and replacement of broken/faulty fusible links.
  • Prepare detailed reports on test results using our live reporting software system, including recommendations for maintenance or replacement, and maintain accurate records for compliance audits.
  • Liaise with site managers, building owners, and engineering teams to gain access to closed areas and minimise disruption.

  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home during the week where required.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of DW145 specifications and experience working towards these regulations in fire damper installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Relevant qualification in fire damper testing, such as accreditation from the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), CITB, City & Guilds (C&G), or equivalent BESA-recognized certification.
  • CSCS card or equivalent health and safety certification.
  • Familiarity with power tools.
  • Confidence and experience working at height, including working from ladders as this is a prominent aspect of the role.
  • PASMA and IPAF certification.
