Mitcham Lane Baptist Church is seeking a passionate Youth and Community Worker to pioneer and develop faith‑based youth work with 11–18s in Furzedown, South London. This exciting role combines outreach, discipleship and community engagement, offering the opportunity to shape vibrant, inclusive youth programmes that support young people’s emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing and help them explore the Christian faith.
The role is 30 hours per week (flexible, including evenings and weekends) with a salary of £30,000–£32,500 pro rata. We are also open to considering other options for working including part time, job share and as a paid student placement for a relevant training course. The post is offered on a 3-year fixed‑term contract and has an occupational requirement for a practising Christian under the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK required.
