Are you an experienced Multi Trade Operative with a strong Joinery background? Do you have experience working within social housing, property repairs or refurbishment projects?

An excellent opportunity has become available with a national property maintenance contractor delivering responsive repairs, void refurbishments and planned maintenance services across the UK. The organisation works closely with housing providers to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard and ready for occupation.

Vacancy Brief:

  • The role is that of a Multi Trade Operative with a Joinery bias.
  • The position is site-based covering residential properties in Cheadle.
  • Contract length is initially 4 to 6 weeks with the view to an extension.
  • Standard hourly rate is £18.01 per hour PAYE.
  • Saturday rate is £18.51 per hour PAYE and Sunday rate is £19.01 per hour PAYE.
  • Uniform is provided. Candidates must supply their own tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport are essential.
  • A Basic DBS will be required.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Joinery is essential.

The Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works within empty residential properties.
  • Complete a range of joinery works alongside basic multi-trade repairs.
  • Ensure all work is completed within agreed target timescales.
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate job records using handheld devices and computerised systems.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate progress effectively.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
  • Work in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Support wider maintenance and refurbishment projects when required.

This role provides excellent experience within Social Housing Repairs, Property Maintenance and Void Refurbishment Services. You will further develop your skills across reactive repairs, planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, customer service and multi-trade maintenance while working for a well-established national contractor.
