We’re looking for one or more Level 4 Sports Coach Apprentices who are confident sports or dance enthusiasts eager to develop a career working in the sports coaching industry or who are looking to take their current coaching knowledge to the next level. Apprenticeship placements are available across our Gloucestershire network and your place of work can be discussed at interview.

We are looking for someone who loves to use sport to connect with people and is keen to learn the skills needed to be an excellent sports coach working primarily in a school environment, but also out in the wider community too. You’ll be someone who brings the energy that gets people moving and approach everything you do with a fantastic sense of fun.

You’ll spend 30 hours each week working alongside our experienced team of coaches to deliver a wide range of sports based activities and 7.5 hours engaged in training towards achieving your level 4 sports coach apprenticeship. Through this 23-month apprenticeship you’ll gain a valuable portfolio of qualifications, invaluable real job experience, open up excellent career opportunities and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people as a supported and valued member of Team Sportily.

Hours: full-time (37.5 hours/week). Salary: £8.20/hr in year 1 (enhanced from the £8.00 national wage for apprentices), Real Living Wage in year 2. See application pack for more details.

Start Date: 1 September 2026 (or a date between Sept and Dec to suit your availability). Deadline: 10 June 2026 (9am). Interviews: 24 June 2026 (in Gloucester). A second interview may be required, but this will be discussed with you at the first interview.
