People & Culture Manager – 12 Month FTCLocation: Hybrid (Office Location: One Canada Square)Department: HRSalary: £49,945 – £58,232Hours: 34.75Contract Type: Fixed Term ContractRole PurposeThis is a pivotal role in partnering with managers across the organisation to deliver a proactive, high-quality and values-led People service.The People & Culture Manager will be the strategic and operational People lead on recruitment and payroll, manage our People and Culture Administrator, and act as the organisational lead for our HRIS, CIPHR. As such, experience in using CIPHR is essential to this role.This is a broad and rewarding role suited to someone who thrives in a generalist People environment and enjoys taking ownership of systems, people processes, and continuous improvement.Key AccountabilitiesBusiness PartneringProvide expert People advice and guidance to managers and staff across all areas of employee relations, performance management, absence, and organisational development.Support change management, organisational culture, and engagement initiatives.People Systems (CIPHR & Hireful)Act as the organisational lead for our People system, CIPHR, ensuring it is fully utilised to support effective People operations.Lead on system updates, configuration, reporting and integration with payroll.Champion data accuracy and integrity and support reporting and analytics needs.Act as the organisational lead for Hireful, our ATS system, ensuring it is fully utilised.Recruitment & OnboardingOversee the end-to-end recruitment process in collaboration with hiring managers and the P&C Administrator.Advise on attraction strategies, inclusive recruitment practices and onboarding approaches.Monitor recruitment metrics and deliver insights to improve our processes.Pay & BenefitsOversee monthly payroll in collaboration with Finance and our external payroll provider.Ensure accurate data input and reporting through CIPHR, resolving queries as needed.Line ManagementLine manage the People and Culture Administrator, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of delivery.People Policies and ProjectsSupport the review and implementation of People policies, ensuring they reflect best practice and legal compliance.Contribute to a range of organisational wide projects including wellbeing, EDI, employee engagement, and learning & development.Essential Skills/Experience/QualificationsEssentialProven experience in a similar People role, ideally within a regulated or not-for-profit environment.Strong working knowledge of CIPHR People system, including configuration, reporting and integration with payroll.Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and People best practice.Experience managing and strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll and benefit processes.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to build trust and influence across all levels.Experience in coaching and supporting line managers on a range of People matters.Previous line management experience.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.DesirableCIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).Experience in supporting or leading change or transformation projects.Understanding of EDI best practices and employee wellbeing strategies.Knowledge of Hireful ATS systemClosing date for this role is 23 July 2025 5pm, please note we reserve the right to close this role early dependent on number of applications.Please note your application will not be accepted without a covering letter exampling how you meet the essential criteria of this role, no more than 2 A4 pages.REF-(phone number removed)
