Overview: We are seeking a proactive and reliable Part-Time Life exhibition Assistant to support the setup, dismantling, and administration of approximately 15 exhibitions annually, including the soon-to-be-launched ‘Schools Version’ of the exhibition. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an immersive event aimed at Year 5/6 pupils across the UK.
Location: Various locations across the UK (travel required)
Reports To: Life exhibition Coordinator
Initial Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with Counties internal team and local churches, to ensure:
-
smooth preparations in advance of the exhibition’s visit
-
efficient operations during exhibition’s local use.
-
Long-term impact of relationships between churches and local schools.
-
Occasional site visits and on-the-ground coordination.

Van transportation and logistics.
-
Loading/unloading exhibition materials. Practical manual handling operations and management are key.

Assist in the setup and dismantling of exhibitions (primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays)

Responsible for managing the exhibition\’s technology, which includes the use of Raspberry Pi devices and Android tablets.

Perform administrative duties related to exhibition planning and follow-up, primarily using Office 365 tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).

Assist with exhibition promotion at national and regional events.
Additional roles to develop:

Support the integration and rollout of the ‘Schools Version’ of the exhibition.

Maintain exhibition materials and equipment in good condition.

Handle basic scheduling and logistical coordination, including travel arrangements.

Train and support local volunteers and church partners in exhibition delivery, helping ensure consistency and quality of experience.

Planning promotion of exhibition
Hours:

Annual average initially 12 hours per week, depending on the exhibition schedule. Role to potentially become full-time within 2 years.

Flexibility is required, with most physical work scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays e.g. many school weeks two days/week, with reduced activities in school holidays.

Negotiable hours may be available to suit the candidate\’s existing commitments e.g. term-time only contract.

Person Specification:
Essential:

Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a transit style van.

Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
