If you are enthusiastic about young people and families, passionate about your faith and have a heart for community, this could be just the role for you. As a growing and active church, we have a mission to reach out to our community with the love of Christ to make a practical difference. This is especially true for young people and families who we meet in schools, our community and church activities. Too many face poverty, anxiety and social exclusion often resulting in low attendance at schools and poor engagement with services who could help.
Your role will make a difference. You will build long term relationships with young people and families, working in partnership with schools and agencies to address these issues and enable positive change to their wellbeing and lives. You will lead our young people’s work in church too, overseeing a small team of volunteers. This is a flexible role, and we will support you in shaping it and making it manageable. Will you join our team and church, building on work that has already started?
We offer supervision, a pension, and expenses. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the job holder is a practising Christian (as permitted under schedule 9, part 1 of the equality act 2010). We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults. All post-holders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and appointments are subject to pre-appointment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check.
