Summary of the role

You will support multi‐channel marketing and communications activity across the organisation, helping to deliver impactful campaigns, compelling storytelling and strong brand presence. You'll work closely with colleagues to produce engaging content, coordinate activity and champion consistent, accessible communications. This is a creative, fast‐paced role where your work will directly contribute to growing awareness, engagement and income.

Details of the role

  • Salary: £35,499 + £1,500 London weighting (where applicable)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Working hours: 40 hours per week (some evenings/weekends as required)
  • Location: London / Hybrid (minimum two days per week in the office)
  • Reports to: Marketing Manager

You will join a collaborative Engagement & Communications team dedicated to telling powerful stories, inspiring supporters and showcasing the transformative impact of music. Responsibilities

  • Brand guardianship - ensuring consistency across all materials, digital channels and organisational communications.
  • Marketing delivery - supporting the Marketing Manager with campaigns, events, fundraising appeals, automation journeys and KPI tracking.
  • Impact storytelling - sourcing stories, drafting case studies, capturing content (with consent) and bringing the charity's work to life.
  • Copywriting - producing accessible, inclusive content for stewardship, supporter updates and organisational communications.
  • Collateral management - overseeing the creation and maintenance of marketing materials and coordinating external designers or freelancers.
  • Fundraising marketing - delivering activity for community fundraising, challenge events, legacy campaigns and donor engagement.
  • Event promotion - driving engagement for annual events through email, PR, ticketing and digital activity.
  • Business development support - contributing to thought‐leadership content and supporting conferences with materials and presentations.
  • Cross‐team collaboration - working with programme and central teams to ensure clear, consistent messaging.
  • Inbox and admin support - managing the communications inbox and supporting colleagues during leave periods.

Person specification

  • Understanding of multi‐channel marketing and how to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Events knowledge and ability to support activity in fast‐paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills, confident working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent copywriting, proof‐reading and editing skills.
  • Creative, story‐led approach to content development.
  • Awareness of marcomms trends and enthusiasm for events and campaigns.
