Location: Christchurch Three Mills, Stratford, London, E15

About: Christchurch Three Mills is a local, new, pioneering expression of church in the Stratford area of East London with a heart to love widely, live deeply and gather community.

Position: We are offering an exciting opportunity to be our Youth Lead – leading our community and church-based youth work to reach and disciple more young people on our estate. Alongside this, we are offering funding on the 2-year St Mellitus Future Generations training programme to be trained in youth work and theology.

Purpose: The purpose of this role is to grow and develop our work reaching out to young people (and their families) in our local community. Key elements include weekly detached youth work on our estate, a monthly youth group, and regular youth-led Sunday Services. Your job would be leading us as a church in reaching, enabling and discipling young people to become all that God has called them to be.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of work with 11-18 year olds in or outside of church.
  • Desire to grow into church leadership.

Salary & Benefits: 22.5 hours/week at the London Living Wage (currently £14.80/hour – equating to £17,316 per annum). Contribution to a pension scheme, 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata). Full funding for the Future Generation scheme at St Mellitus for 2 years (dependent on successful application for a place on this programme).
