Overview: The DBC placement worker will work in partnership with Dereham Baptist Church, supporting them in their youth work, as well as taking a lead in Dereham based initiatives with Youth for Christ, including working with the local schools, and supporting the wider work of North Breckland Youth for Christ. It is an exciting opportunity, as we look to develop the work we do here, and see young people have their lives changed by Jesus. The opportunity is there to deliver, develop and disciple the young people.
Salary and Term: The salary for this post will be in the range of £21,100-£22,400 per annum (full-time equivalent of £26,400-£27,900 per annum) depending on experience and qualification for a period of two years. There is the potential to extend the post in the future if further funding is secured and the successful candidate wishes to.
Requirements: There is a genuine occupational requirement for this role that the role holder is a committed Christian in accordance with Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. Due to the nature of these roles a Disclosure & Barring Service check is required before a final job offer is made. A criminal record is not necessarily a bar to employment with us.
