Hertford Baptist Church is seeking to appoint a Ministry Lead for Young Adults to grow and develop the spiritual life, community and outreach of young adults aged 18–30. HBC is a growing evangelical, Bible believing church, which seeks to follow Jesus and welcome the Holy Spirit. This is a pivotal moment for the church as we respond to a generation increasingly open to Christianity and a rising number of young adults coming to church and exploring faith. We want to invest intentionally in this generation.
You will build relationships, disciple young adults, and create environments where they can explore faith, grow in community, and step into mission. You’ll lead gatherings, grow and mentor a team, and help shape strategy for this vital ministry.
A gifting in worship leading is desired but not essential. We’re looking for someone with a mature Christian faith, experience discipling young adults, strong relational skills, and a heart for the emerging generation. Safeguarding commitment and an Enhanced DBS are required. This role carries a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian.
