Broughty Free Church is a congregation of the Free Church of Scotland in Dundee, in the picturesque seaside community of Broughty Ferry. We seek to appoint a staff member to help us lead, organise, develop, and grow our ministry to children, young people and families.

Part‑Time (0.5 FTE = 18.5 hours per week) Salary scale: £29,536 to £33,390 per annum pro rata, experience and training dependent. Working hours will require some flexibility. It may be possible to structure the working pattern to allow time off during school holidays, making this role particularly suitable for someone with school‑age children.

Responsibilities
  • Work with our minister, leaders and volunteers to ensure we provide the best possible pastoral care and teaching for children, young people and families.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers.
  • Support parents in their biblical responsibilities for their children.
  • Initiate and maintain gospel outreach within the community.
Required skills
  • Experience of leadership in a related role.
  • Experience of working with volunteers in a church or similar context.
  • Approachable and personable, team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in communicating the Christian faith.
  • Good computer, presentational and social media skills.
  • Good time management, organisational and planning skills.
  • Understanding of current safeguarding, health and safety practices.
  • Most importantly, a life that is committed to following the Lord Jesus Christ, and a passion for sharing the gospel.
