About us
At Chichester Baptist Church our aim is for people to commit to and become more like Jesus. We are an active, cross-generational, Spirit-filled and Bible-based church, drawing people from all over Chichester and the surrounding area. We run morning and evening services, which are both well-attended, and we are at capacity on Sunday mornings with an average of 350 attenders, 100+ of which are children and youth. Having sought God’s guidance we are looking to expand and to establish a sister congregation nearby, while remaining one church.
About the role
The Youth Ministry Lead will oversee and develop the ministry for 10–18 year-olds at Chichester Baptist Church, both within the church and with a clear missional focus, seeking to reach and disciple young people so that they grow in a living faith and become disciples who make disciples. - Planning and leading larger events such as Holiday Clubs, youth residentials and one-off activities;
- Supporting families as they join the church;
- Praying regularly for young people and families;
- Maintaining a visible presence on Sunday mornings (including occasional up-front involvement);
- Fulfilling the role of Deputy Designated Person for Safeguarding within the youth ministry;
- Contributing as a member of the staff team to shaping the overall direction of the church.
