This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of human resources in the not-for-profit sector, based in Cheshire.

Description Support the People Manager in providing advice and guidance to managers on the effective implementation of people policies and procedures throughout the employee lifecycle.

Manage low-level employee relations matters, escalating complex cases to the People and Culture Manager where and issue HR documentation, including employment contracts, invitation letters, and outcome letters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Provide confidential administrative support to HR processes, including taking accurate notes during team meetings, investigations, disciplinary hearings, and appeals.

Support managers with recruitment activities, including coordinating recruitment campaigns and selection processes.

Provide first-line advice and guidance to colleagues on HR policies, procedures, and people-related queries, promoting best practice and consistency.

Profile A successful People Officer should have: A solid foundation in human resources practices, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.

Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

An ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small-sized team.

Job Offer Competitive salary per annum.
