If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Walsall as a Children\’s Residential Support Worker. We provide a warm and safe haven for our young people to thrive and grow. Our modern homes are surrounded by a wonderful team who make the house a home, ensuring our young people make memories daily in a home filled with love, laughter and fun.
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people aged 7–18 with challenging behaviours, complex needs and autism, providing a platform to express their views and feelings.
- Help them on their journey into adulthood by teaching vital life skills and building their confidence.
- Assist with daily routines, including school or local appointments.
- Work flexible shifts (10am‑10pm or 8am‑8pm), including weekends, Bank Holidays and one sleep shift per week.
- Collaborate with team members to create a caring environment and record progress.
Qualifications
- Residential care experience with young people (or a background in education).
- Valid UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
What we offer
- Salary: £12.50 per hour plus a £40 sleep bonus per completed sleep.
- Inclusive contract of a minimum of 36 hours per week, with overtime available.
- Fully funded qualifications and a mentoring programme to help you reach your full potential.
- Work/life balance with rota available in advance.
