We have a fantastic opportunity to join our passionate and experienced team as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker. The role supports a therapeutic home based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which is registered to care for up to two young people aged 7‑18 with emotional‑behavioural difficulties and autism. Our young people and staff benefit from a warm, welcoming environment, continuous therapeutic support, and opportunities to thrive as they progress toward adulthood.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the small staff team, ensuring all policies, procedures, and care plans are up to date.
  • Liaise with health officials and oversee the young person’s care.
  • Maintain high quality standards and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in UK‑based children’s residential care.
  • Experience in an Ofsted‑registered home setting, preferably as a Senior.
  • Level 3 qualification or higher in residential care with young people (or completing).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality care standards and Ofsted regulations.

Shifts

The schedule is rota‑based and includes early, late, and sleep shifts (up to 10 per month). Rotas are issued at least four weeks in advance to support a healthy work/life balance.

Salary & Benefits
