A golden opportunity to join an established, ethical and respected provider of residential care across the West Midlands. We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and resilient Registered Manager for our EBD home suitable for up to 3 young people aged 7‑18 in Birmingham, West Midlands. We have been providing outstanding residential care for over 20 years and have supported hundreds of young people to achieve and grow, with a proven track record of positive outcomes for our young people. Our passion is making a genuine difference and we are looking for someone who aligns with our values and ethics.

Ideally you will already hold a Registered Manager or Interim Manager post, we are also very happy to hear from you if you are an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step, with at least 2 years’ senior experience with UK‑based Children’s Residential care. A full UK Driving Licence and at least a Level 3 NVQ or higher in residential care are essential to be considered for this position. Please note the experience must be UK residential based.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the home through procedures, policies and activities to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for the child or young person.
  • Support the existing staff team to ensure positive outcomes for the children they support.
  • Continuously develop the home to achieve and maintain a good or outstanding rating with OFSTED.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with social workers, teaching staff and other professionals from associated agencies engaged in childcare.
  • Produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice.
  • Contribute to the effective development and training of all staff to ensure all staff have the right skills and attributes to meet the needs of their young people.
  • Chair meetings, reviews and discussions where necessary.
  • Ensure all clinical practices and medication processes within the service are aligned to current legislation.
  • Responsibility for safeguarding and promoting individual rights, providing good quality care which is free from oppression and where differences are respected and valued.
  • Be part of an on‑call system.
  • Be part of any other ad‑hoc duties as and when required by senior management.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a Level 3 NVQ or higher in residential care.
  • Must have at least 2 years’ senior experience with UK‑based Children’s Residential care as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.
  • Must possess a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience must be UK residential based.
  • Experience: Not required (if the applicant is newly qualified).
Hours & Salary
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 – 5 (with occasional flex‑time as needed)
  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 yearly, dependent on experience.
  • Starting salary: £45,000 – £50,000 yearly, with comprehensive holiday allowance, bank holidays, and a range of other benefits.
