Our Client is a very successful independent garage group based in the South East with 18 branches, from Wiltshire to Kent.
We are seeking such a manager for Our Client Reading, a well-established branch in Reading. The branch is the largest MOT garage in Reading, with 4 MOT ramps, and was the fourth biggest MOT centre in the country. The business very successfully broadened out into repairs and servicing some years ago.
The branch performance needs to be taken to a higher level and we need an experienced manager, ideally with a tech/tester background, to get it where it needs to be - including input into refurbishment of the site. As you can tell, management experience within the vehicle aftermarket is essential.
The role has full responsibility for the operation of the branch, ensuring efficient workflow and the highest quality customer service.
For the successful candidate, there is a £3000 signing-on payment, paid in £1000 instalments over your first 3 months.
Salary expectations:
- Salary: £53k to £60k per year*
- Bonus Scheme: £10k (target) to £19k (target+) per year
- On Target Earnings: £63k to £70k per year
*includes 26 Saturdays per year
The ideal candidate should be:
- Able to manage staff and customer expectations successfully
- Performance driven
- Obsessed with delivering high standards of workmanship
- Able to analyze performance to suggest and implement improvements to drive growth
- Organised and understands processes
- Effective at managing up and down an organisation
- Good at site infrastructure management
- Ideally Level 2 or 3 qualified and an MOT tester
