Premier Autoclaves Service & Solutions is a leading provider of servicing, upgrades, supply of new and refurbished units, and after sales support to the autoclave industry. Our company is built on the foundations of engineering excellence and customer satisfaction, with a philosophy to deliver on time in full on all our projects. We are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our existing team on a permanent contract of employment to manage all aspects of projects from sales handover to customer acceptance.
The successful applicant will be a vital member of the organisation and therefore needs to be adaptable and passionate in order to gain a complete understanding of the business and the impact your role has within a dedicated team. You will require a background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering as well as strong organisation skills and excellent commercial understanding.
Our expectation is that this candidate will have a passion to absorb the intricacies of a small business, learning all aspects of our projects from specification and costing through to delivering the finished article. No job is too big or small and working as a part of a small yet dedicated team, being flexible with the day to day tasks will enable you to flourish within the business.
Responsibilities
– Working alongside the Projects Director, for efficient management of multiple projects ensuring that all are completed on time to the highest quality in the most profitable manner. This includes:
- Designing & developing specifications for autoclave systems (new, upgraded, refurbished).
- Costing of projects.
- Performing pre-works site surveys.
- Producing project plans.
- Parts ordering.
- Strive for and achieve on time in full successful delivery on projects.
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure resources are allocated to the project to achieve the required delivery dates.
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure specification, quality and pricing are conducive to the success of projects.
- Review supplier quotations.
- Review progress against project plans.
- Hold project review meetings in-house and on-site.
- Manage in-house and on-site installation, commissioning and handover.
- Ensure all plant is commissioned and working to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Snag on completion.
– Liaising with Sales Director to support technically.
– Assisting with management of servicing.
– Identifying opportunities for further works.
Required Skills
– Able to work across multiple projects of different varieties.
– The strength to work within the budgets set to complete projects.
– Experience of purchasing, project management systems and procedures would be beneficial although not essential.
– Experience of working with MS Office suite.
– Excellent customer service skills.
– Ability to operate under pressure prioritising projects requirements.
– Background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
– Excellent people manager, open to direction and a collaborative work style with a commitment to getting the job done.
– Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organisation and the engineering team.
– Ability to look at situations objectively from several points of view.
– Be a team player with the ability to get the most out of the engineers and maintain a happy working environment. Persuasive with details and facts to gain engagement and alignment from the team.
– Delegate responsibilities effectively.
– Strong interpersonal skills.
