Role Title: Autoclave Field Engineer-
What\’s involved in the role: helping our customers maximise autoclave production through best-in-class service, calibration, fault-finding, breakdown response, upgrades, and fit out of new & refurbished autoclaves which are used to cure carbon fibre and composites. An example of the impact of our service engineers- we help ensure F1 cars make it to the track for race weekend
Report to: Projects Director
Based at: Premier customer sites predominantly throughout the UK – significant UK travel with overnight stays
Package: Over £50,000 OTE including profit share and overtime.Company vehicle, training, pension contribution, laptop, phone, company socials
Role Specification
Join our growing team for an impactful role in exciting industries- from Formula 1 to aerospace and defence. Using your engineering experience, youll help customers maximise autoclave production through best-in-class service, calibration, fault-finding, breakdown response, upgrades, and fit out of new & refurbished units. About you:
- A strong foundation of electrical engineering knowledge
- Knowledge/experience of PLCs/HMIs- desirable
- Experience in pneumatics/vacuum/hydraulics- desirable
- Diagnostic experience- desirable
- Takes genuine pride in your work and shows attention to detail
- Independent worker who also enjoys being part of a team
The main activities of the job:
- On site planned maintenance and calibration of autoclaves and ovens
- On site upgrades and installations of autoclave systems mechanical and electrical
- Attending breakdown visits
- Producing detailed reports of works
- Liaising with customers, explaining recommendations and machine performance
- Liaising with Projects Director and office staff to ensure correct delivery of work
- Assist with on-site activities including surveying for upgrade works and improvements to be made in systems
- Identifying opportunities for system improvements during site visits
- Working with the wider team to suggest improved ways of completing works- were a collaborative company
- Assist in workshop with mechanical and electrical assemblies
