This is a high-impact senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring that Premex continues to offer a market-leading expert proposition, supported by a sustainable, engaged and nationally representative network of medical experts.

As a member of our senior leadership team, you will shape and execute the long-term strategy for expert acquisition, retention, pricing, commercial partnerships and market development. Your work will directly support organisational growth, enhance customer value and strengthen Premex’s position as a provider of choice for medico-legal expertise across the UK.

The opportunity

Working closely with Executive, Commercial, Clinical, Operational and Finance leaders, you will ensure that our expert network remains a key enabler of business success.

You will combine strategic leadership with external relationship development, commercial ownership and market insight. From building exclusive partnerships with leading experts to identifying opportunities for service innovation and market expansion, you will play a central role in shaping the future direction of Premex.

Key responsibilities

Expert network strategy and development

You will:

  • Develop and own the long-term strategy for the Premex expert network, aligning network capability and capacity with corporate objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide strategic leadership across all clinical and medico-legal specialisms.
  • Drive expert acquisition, engagement and retention strategies.
  • Ensure sustainable national coverage across specialties, regions and service lines.
  • Lead market analysis and horizon scanning to identify emerging trends, risks and growth opportunities.
  • Secure and develop high-value and exclusive relationships with leading experts and industry influencers.
  • Strengthen Premex’s position as the partner of choice for medical experts in the medico-legal sector.

Strategic partnerships and external engagement

You will:

  • Lead the development of partnerships that support growth, service innovation and market expansion.
  • Act as executive sponsor for key expert and partner relationships.

  • Represent Premex at industry forums, conferences and strategic customer engagements.

  • Build influential relationships across the healthcare, legal and insurance sectors.

  • Develop collaborations that increase market presence and reinforce our competitive position.

Commercial performance and growth

You will:

  • Own the commercial strategy for the expert network and strategic partnership portfolio.

  • Develop pricing approaches that balance profitability, market competitiveness and sustainable growth.

  • Lead complex negotiations with key experts and external partners.

  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve margins and strengthen commercial performance.

  • Support wider organisational growth through expert capability expansion and market development.

Customer value and service innovation

You will ensure our expert engagement strategy improves customer experience and supports client retention. Using customer insight, market intelligence and performance data, you will identify opportunities to develop new solutions, strengthen service performance and create additional value for clients.

Executive leadership, governance and performance

As a senior leader, you will:

  • Contribute to organisational strategy, business planning and executive decision-making.

  • Lead strategic change relating to expert engagement, service development and market positioning.

  • Establish meaningful KPIs covering network growth, engagement, utilisation and commercial performance.

  • Maintain oversight of governance, regulatory, contractual and compliance requirements.

  • Provide strategic reporting, market intelligence and performance updates to the Executive Team.

  • Promote a high-performance culture centred on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

About you

You will be an experienced senior leader with the commercial judgement, strategic perspective and relationship-building capability to influence at the highest level.

You will bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience, including accountability for strategic delivery and business performance.

  • A proven track record of developing and leading large-scale stakeholder, supplier or partnership networks.

  • Experience operating at executive or board level and influencing organisational strategy.

  • Demonstrable success in commercial growth, partnership development and business transformation.

  • Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience within a complex organisation.

  • Relevant experience gained within healthcare, insurance, legal services, professional services or a medico-legal environment.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.

  • Executive-level stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Sophisticated negotiation and relationship-building capability.

  • Strategic market analysis and decision-making skills.

  • A growth-focused, innovative and results-oriented leadership style.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • A clear focus on customers, market development and measurable outcomes.

What success will look like

Your impact will be reflected in:

  • A clear and successfully delivered expert network strategy.

  • Growth in strategic and exclusive expert partnerships.

  • Stronger expert engagement, advocacy and retention.

  • Improved revenue, profitability and commercial performance.

  • Increased market share and competitive differentiation.

  • Positive customer satisfaction and NPS outcomes.

  • Sustainable national expert coverage across key specialties and regions.

  • Successful delivery of strategic growth and transformation initiatives.

  • Strong confidence in the expert engagement function among executive and external stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to influence the direction of a leading medico-legal organisation and build a strategic expert proposition with genuine commercial and market impact.
