Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer – Automotive Retail – £38.50/hr (Inside IR35) based in Warwickshire (hybrid potential). This 6‑month contract replaces a parental leave.
Responsibilities
- Join the Global Commercial Services team within Indirect Procurement as the Senior Buyer for Retail.
- You will have procurement category responsibility for the look & feel of the Retail environment, working closely with the Retail Operations team to support how customers interact with vehicles in client retailers.
- The role entails overall responsibility and leadership for all global and relevant local sourcing, including project delivery, benchmarking costs, contract management, supplier relationship management activities and strategic development, with a focus on sustainability to support the look and feel of our retail environment.
Project Scope
- Your projects will include sourcing signage, furniture, lighting, joinery, etc., to help the retailer network transition to a new retail corporate identity as part of a cutting‑edge modern luxury experience.
Essential Skills
- A Buyer with 3+ years experience buying goods.
- Experience working with colleagues across the globe and clear communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of category management principles.
- Relationship management – internal and external.
- Flexibility and agility to adjust to changing business needs.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in Retail Procurement.
- Project management skillset.
Education & Experience
- Degree and/or CIPS preferable but not required.
Contract Information
This role is a contract basis, Inside IR35, for 6 months covering parental leave.
