Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role.
Purpose of the Role: The UI/UX Planner (Producer) is responsible for the upfront coordination and planning of HMI / UI UX workstreams and then managing them through to delivery. The purpose of the role is to turn UI/UX specific programme requirements into credible project plans, resourced appropriately and structured with reviews and deliverables, that seamlessly dovetail into both the broader vehicle design programme and brand design activity.
Key accountabilities:
- Responsible for setting up how UI/UX projects are operationalised.
- Insightful planning that marries resource and deliverables and timing within broader programme requirements.
- Ensure cross design discipline integration of UI/UX workstreams.
- Key support function of operational management of the Brand Design team, to achieve our strategic objectives.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with creative operations, programme management and business operations teams to ensure appropriate team capacity to deliver projects on-time and to budget.
- Supports and informs capacity planning.
- Stakeholder management across interdependent design functions.
Critical capabilities:
- Excellent knowledge of UX & UI design and the process of delivery.
- Experience of strategically planning UX, UI and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Min 3 years' experience working in UX/UI and software development teams.
- Automotive design experience is preferable.
- Ability to translate plans and strategies into action to support the execution of projects.
- Strong track record of delivery within both agency and corporate settings.
- Creative sensitivity and acumen to understand complex multi-disciplinary design projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex information to all levels within the business.
- Comfortable managing projects across different cultures, geography and time zones.
- Experience with Chinese based teams preferable.
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced design environment.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Min 3 years' experience working with UX/UI and software development teams.
- Must be comfortable working to a brief to tight deadline.
- Comfortable working with partner teams located overseas and managing potential disconnect through cultural and language barriers.
Desirable:
- Working with China-based clients/teams.
- Working with MX or Feishu tools for sharing files and deliverables.
- Experience of planning physical and digital requirements on a single product/project.
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
