Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:
Functional Safety Engineer – 32/hr (Inside IR35) – Hybrid/Gaydon – 4 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Position Description:
The Functional Safety Engineer shall work closely with the SW organisation to ensure the correct cascading of TSR’s to the relevant SW subsystems. The individual shall be the first port of call for the SW team to clarify TSR’s and engineer a FuSa compliant architecture (applying decomposition if needed). The individual has to be proactive in identifying gaps or roadblock for the implementation of a FuSa compliant SW and highlighting this to the relevant stakeholders.
Skills Required:
– Functional Safety (ISO26262) experience at both System and Software level
– Experience in safety analysis – FMEA, FTA
– Supplier management – Functional Safety e.g. managing DIA’s
Experience Required:
– Experience of leading and delivering Functional Safety activities according to ISO26262 for production automotive projects both at the System and Software level
– Experience in safety analysis – FMEA, FTA
– Experience handling suppliers and DIA’s
– Demonstrated expertise of working in embedded system software development
– Pro-active attitude and perseverance.
– Excellent Cooperation and communication skills in English including management presentation skills.
– Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, while managing multiple priorities.
Additional Information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35
Hybrid working is available with this role with support required in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
