This role is responsible for the handsâon testing of automotive infotainment systems, with a strong focus on active NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) technologies at both system and subsystem levels. The ideal candidate will have an execution mindset, taking ownership of test delivery and driving results through rigorous validation and problemâsolving.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute test programmes for infotainment systems, particularly those involving active NVH technologies.
- Ensure all testing is aligned with automotive quality standards and specifications.
- Identify issues and drive improvements in system and subsystem performance.
- Define and apply testing specifications for new and existing infotainment components.
- Document test procedures, configurations, and results with clarity and precision.
- Continuously improve and automate test methodologies to enhance efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams including hardware, software, and NVH specialists to ensure integrated system validation.
- Set up and maintain test rigs and environments for infotainment and audio system validation.
- Strong background in testing automotive infotainment systems, ideally with experience in active NVH technologies.
- Execution-focused approach with the ability to manage and deliver test programmes independently.
- Proficient in debugging and analysis using tools such as:
- Wireshark
- Vector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer)
- Putty
- Media converters
- JTAG flashing
- CAN
- Ethernet (Some IP)
- A2B (Automotive Audio Bus)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Master's degree preferred but not essential, especially if complemented by strong handsâon experience in infotainment or NVH testing.
- Additional certifications in automotive communication protocols, embedded systems, or audio engineering are advantageous.
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35. Role Purpose - Maternity cover. This is a 12âmonth contract position.
