Job Description

At Safran Seats, we interface with both the world\’s biggest airlines and airframers, with the largest seats portfolio of all seat suppliers. You could be liaising with one of the largest airframers or some of the biggest airline brands worldwide.

In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in First and Business Class seating markets for wide-body aircraft, with teams in Cwmbran, Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.

The role\’s purpose is to ensure product quality throughout its lifecycle with Safran Seats GB. Responsibilities include supporting product lifecycle quality assurance, ensuring processes and procedures are followed, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Work with operational teams to define quality objectives aligned with company goals.
Measure and ensure the quality of products and services meet specified objectives.
Implement and evaluate action plans for quality improvements.
Conduct audits and on-the-job training per regulations, procedures, and customer requirements.
Support validation processes and in-production quality aspects.
Promote continuous improvement and analyze data for quality enhancement.
Ensure products/services have undergone proper manufacturing, repair, and validation processes.
Undertake QRQC (8D) as needed for operational support.
Mentor operational staff on in-production quality requirements.

Job Requirements

HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering.
Experience with QA tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, FMEA, Poke Yoke, RCCA.
Proficient in 8D report writing.
Strong engineering/quality background.
Experience as a Quality Engineer within internal design teams.
