What will I be doing? This role focuses on leading customer quality activities and ensuring delivery of high-quality products and service to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Organise and present the Customer Quality Reviews
- Prepare and update DAMAs in support of quality escapes
- Call and chair DAMA meetings to track progress
- Participate in Airworthiness Meetings in support of DAMAs; act as the Customer Quality focus
- Prepare all Customer quality process documentation (e.g., Quality Plans) and ensure transmission of Customer Quality issues to the Operational Quality Manager or Supplier Quality Assurance Manager for timely resolution
- Ensure the cosmetic quality of delivered products
- Support Customer audits; provide weekly and monthly reporting of Customer Quality KPIs through the QA dashboard
- Review all Customer Quality documents and requirements; work collaboratively with peers and other functions
- Provide excellent quality products and service to stakeholders; meet laid down objectives
- Organise internal/external quality audits and Customer Quality Reviews
- Address Customer feedback/complaints and identify areas for cost reduction and profit maximisation
- Manage the Programme Quality financial budget prudently
- Identify and escalate risks related to product or people safety using company tools and processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience of working within quality standards (EN 9100) & Regulations (EASA Part 21) in an aerospace or automotive environment is ideal
- Good knowledge of applicable products and applications (Nacelle)
- Experience of internal/external audits
- Ability to present/influence and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience with key quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma)
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, inter-personal and IT skills
- Pragmatic approach to organising, planning and meeting timelines for reports and customer focus
- Motivated and able to work under pressure
- HNC or HND/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Formal quality qualification and eligibility for IQA membership is beneficial
- Working knowledge of French (written and spoken) is beneficial but not essential
