The Role
- As an Industrialisation Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will play a key role in developing and approving a number of manufacturing engineering processes. You will utilise your process improvement capabilities to advance and share best practices with a number of key stakeholders. You will ensure the latest technology is successfully implemented into these practices, helping to improve takt time, cost and quality.
- Act as the focal point for Program and Operations Managers, acting as a key interface with engineering experts.
- Share and develop best practices across the site and division as appropriate.
- Ensure design considerations are correctly taken into account in the manufacturing process.
- Take the initiative in liaising with a host of suppliers regarding product & process information and development.
- Provide approvals for a number of manufacturing engineering processes including SPC, FMEA and technical work instructions.
- Proactively engage with relevant support functions when initiating process based technical investigations.
- Define critical values in accordance with engineering requirements.
- Carry out internal and external audits, managing the development and corrective action plans accordingly.

- Ability to challenge design and manufacturing techniques, ensuring DFM and DTC requirements are met.
- HNC or HND in mechanical, electronics or production engineering beneficial.
- Experience working within an engineering or component manufacturing environment.
- Tooling design knowledge an advantage.
- An understanding of the Industrialisation process for new processes and equipment.
- Prior experience in leading investigations and corrective action plans to improve process development.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Evidence of written English at interview stage.
