Location: Wolverhampton
Contract: 3-year graduate programme

What does the role look like?
Our Digital Operations Graduate Programme offers hands-on experience within a fast-paced, collaborative digital environment. Based in Wolverhampton, you\'ll support a range of digital services and technology functions across the business — from data analytics and web development to system design and agile delivery.
Throughout the programme, you\'ll rotate across key areas such as database management, data visualisation, and software tools, building a strong foundation in both technical and analytical skills. Working alongside experienced professionals, you\'ll help design, develop, and maintain digital solutions that drive smarter ways of working across Safran\'s operations.
This role is ideal for graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to apply their creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to real business challenges in aerospace and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the creation, maintenance, and querying of databases to ensure data integrity and security.
- Analysing and reporting on large datasets using tools such as SAP ERP, Power BI, and Tableau to create KPIs and dashboards.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of internal web-based tools (front-end and back-end).
- Contributing to UI/UX design, wireframing, and prototyping using tools such as Figma.
- Building responsive front-end interfaces (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap) and supporting back-end logic (PHP, Python, JavaScript).
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate prototypes, and refine solutions.
- Participating in agile delivery cycles including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Supporting documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practice across the team.

Essential skills:
- A degree (or working towards) in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of databases and data handling principles.
- Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with back-end programming languages (PHP, Python, or JavaScript).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-moving environment.
Desirable skills:
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to SAP ERP systems.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g. Figma).
