What does the role look like?
Join our Wolverhampton site as a Finance Analyst. We\βre currently recruiting two roles, one for our Aftermarket team and the other in our central Finance centre of excellence. These positions play a crucial role within both teams, supporting the continued success of a fast-paced, high-performing business area.
We\βre looking for a commercially minded accounting professional with sharp analytical skills, AAT qualified or equivalent, and the confidence to partner with stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities
- Month end activity to support reporting on actual performance against forecast and budget / long range plan with supporting analysis and commentary
- Support month end close β accruals, prepayments, journal postings, CAPEX, balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare inputs for the monthly forecast, annual Plan and Strategic plans ensuring alignment in the business
- Prepare and analyse daily / monthly tracking of financial sales and gross margin performance
- Evaluate and understand manufacturing and supply chain performance through variance analysis (e.g. POV, PPV)
- Carry out functional cost reviews for manufacturing and SG&A areas, challenge performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Preparation of standard costing and pricing updates in line with process
- Challenge the business to delivery against its commitments and support growth initiatives
- Support in the preparation and delivery of reporting packs for the business
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to drive improvements and share best practice
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Job Requirements

- Essential skills:
- Newly Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Highly IT literate with experience in Excel & SAP preferable
- Good analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Desirable skills:
- Collaborative style working with both Finance and non-Finance colleagues
- Effective communicator
- Adaptable and able to make both timely and effective decisions. Readily responds to change.
- Self-motivated
