You\’ll need to be a strategic thinker and enjoy forging relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders (internal & external) to achieve commercially viable, sustainable, partnerships for your commodity/commodities! You\’ll work alongside other Commodity Managers, and the wider Purchasing team, to lead, facilitate, and complete a variety of high profile projects for an ever evolving business landscape Key Responsibilities & Duties include: – Drafting, acquiring validation and deploying the targeted purchasing policies for one or more commodities in accordance with the needs and objectives of the internal customers (contracting customers) – Guaranteeing the attainment of objectives within your scope in terms of gains and service levels expected by Safran – In the case of a group mandate, coordinating actions with the concerned buyers of the other companies – Lead communication about the purchasing policies under your responsibility – Act as an approver, expert and key contact for your commodity at SUK – Play a key role in fostering and maintaining a UK wide network within your commodity Company Information Safran is an international high-technology group, operating in the aviation (propulsion, equipment and interiors), defense and space markets.
