Assistant Engineering Group Leader

As part of our engineering group, you will be leading a small design & analysis team carrying out activities to develop, qualify and support landing gear systems throughout the life cycle. Under the guidance of an Engineering Group Leader, you will meet agreed milestones and deliverables on time, on cost and on quality. What will I be doing?
- Lead a team of engineers to meet agreed project milestones and deliverables, including, technical, financial and scheduling of the team\\\βs activities
- Promote professional and personal development of all the team member through the professional development review process
- Ensure a \\\βfit for purpose\\\β technical solution is developed to meet the required schedule while ensuring compliance to processes & procedures
- Compile Work Package Specifications as required to support delivery of the team\\\βs objectives
- Monitor offload activities adherence to schedule and costs while identify any associated risks
- Work with the functional management to ensure adequate resources and skills are available
Job Requirements
What do I need to succeed in the role? You will have be able to demonstrate proven results in a range of engineering activities. Project management, communication and decision making skills are essential to this role, as is your general understanding of finance. Proven experience of coaching and developing others would be an advantage.
