Role Overview: Our client is an international PayTech and FinTech company that develops, manufactures, and integrates payment solutions, POS infrastructure, digital onboarding, business account functionality, and merchant management tools. The company is now actively expanding in the UK market and is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Sales / Sales Director to lead B2B sales development, build strategic partnerships, and drive market growth.
This role is for a strong hunter with a deep understanding of the UK payments landscape and a mandatory existing network of contacts within UK FinTech, PayTech, banking, payments, acquiring, PSP, or merchant services. The successful candidate will drive the growth of a complex B2B ecosystem that combines proprietary POS hardware, payment software, terminal management, digital onboarding, business account functionality, and merchant management tools.
Product Ecosystem You Will Drive:
- POS Hardware: Android-based POS terminals, including 5-inch, 6-inch, and 13-inch devices.
- Payment & Fiscal Core: Software for transaction processing, contactless payments, QR payments, fiscal functionality, and integration with acquiring infrastructure.
- Terminal Management System: Tools for remote POS configuration, monitoring, updates, operational control, and support.
- Merchant Portal: Business management functionality for cash flow control, inventory, invoicing, reporting, sales analytics, employee performance, and operational management.
- Digital Onboarding & Business Account Functionality: KYB processes, business account functionality, IBAN account opening, corporate cards, and settlement tools.
- E-commerce & Online POS: Functionality for online payment acceptance and remote sales operations.
- Biometric Payment Technology: Palm-vein recognition payment solution for secure and efficient payment processing.
Necessary Skills:
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with at least 3+ years in FinTech, PayTech, payments, banking software, POS solutions, SaaS, acquiring, PSP, or merchant services.
- Proven experience operating within the UK market is mandatory.
- Current residence in the United Kingdom is mandatory.
- An established and active network of contacts among UK banks, PSPs, acquirers, payment processors, merchant service providers, POS distributors, or financial institutions is mandatory.
- Experience selling complex B2B solutions to banks, acquiring companies, PSPs, payment processors, merchant service providers, financial institutions, enterprise clients, or large merchant networks.
- Strong understanding of the UK payments ecosystem, merchant services, acquiring, POS infrastructure, SME banking, digital onboarding, and payment acceptance solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to sell a complex ecosystem that combines hardware, software, integrations, onboarding, payment processing, a merchant portal, and terminal management.
- Proven track record of building a sales pipeline from scratch and closing high-value B2B deals.
- Experience negotiating with C-level stakeholders, founders, banks, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
- Ability to execute go-to-market activities and adapt the sales approach to local market requirements.
- Fluent English with excellent presentation, negotiation, and business communication skills.
- High level of independence, ownership, commercial thinking, structure, and result orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales development and market expansion in the United Kingdom.
- Build and execute the UK sales strategy for the company's payment and merchant ecosystem.
- Identify, approach, and close strategic B2B clients and partners, including banks, acquiring companies, PSPs, payment processors, merchant service providers, POS distributors, financial institutions, enterprise clients, and large merchant networks.
- Present and sell the company's full product ecosystem: POS terminals, Payment Core, Fiscal Core, Cashbox, Merchant Portal, Terminal Management System, digital onboarding, business account functionality, invoicing, e-commerce, and online POS functionality.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline in the UK market.
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, discovery, product presentation, negotiation, commercial proposal, and deal closing.
- Develop partnerships with banks, acquirers, payment providers, POS networks, integrators, and companies working with high transaction volumes.
- Analyze the UK competitive landscape, identify market opportunities, and provide feedback on product positioning.
- Work closely with product, technical, and operational teams to align the solution with UK market requirements.
- Represent the company at relevant FinTech, PayTech, payments, banking, and retail technology events in the UK.
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline, opportunities, negotiations, market feedback, and sales forecasts.
