Prego is looking for a head chef to join our team here in Westbury Park. As a senior member of the team, we require you to have a minimum of 4 years in a busy kitchen, and at least two years as a head chef. We are looking for someone who has experience in all areas of Italian cuisine. We are looking for someone who is creative and willing to work seasonally and work closely with our excellent local suppliers; a good knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine is preferred. We rely on punctual, reliable staff with flexibility. The staff morale is excellent and we all take care of one another. Prego is a family-run 80 seat restaurant serving the Westbury Park and surrounding neighbourhoods. We rely on mostly regular clientele and always strive to develop excellent relations with our customers. A positive outlook, energetic disposition and sense of humour is a must.
As the manager of a busy kitchen, your role will cover:
- EHO management
- Stock control
- Close supplier relations
- Staff training
- Cost management
- Leading service
- Ensuring that the kitchen and surrounding areas are clean and tidy
