Summary of Job
Perform skilled maintenance work on converting, printing, and extruding equipment, as well as general repairs to building and grounds. Focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues, installing new equipment, performing Preventive Maintenance, and maintaining parts inventories. Support the plant by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including PLC, DCS, and other systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.
- Repair and replace faulty components, install new equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Manage projects and source materials for maintenance needs.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Perform tool & die and fixture jobs as required.
- Collaborate proactively across departments and support team efforts.
- Train and guide fellow employees as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Read and understand LOTO procedures, electrical schematics, and safety rules.
- Welding, fabricating, machining skills (lathes, mills).
- Understanding of machine control systems and electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency with office software and work order systems.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Environment
Exposure to moving equipment, heat, humidity, and noise.
Physical Characteristics
Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience
