Position Summary

We are seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager with proven experience driving revenue and partnerships across the luxury hospitality market. The Manager, Hospitality Sales for PTG Consulting is responsible for providing services to support our Calliope Collective, our luxury sales representation branded service, operating under the PTG Consulting business unit. The role represents a portfolio of luxury independent hotels that have appointed Calliope Collective for UK sales representation, acting as a trusted extension of each hotel’s commercial team. This requires the ability to offer both a strategic approach and tactical execution based on client needs and scope of project with a steady management of multi-tasking between assigned clients. PTG Consulting duties will be a combination of one-off projects and ongoing sales support. This role influences and has responsibility for client retention and new business for Calliope Collective. Client types include hotels, small groups of hotels and destinations. Additionally, this role serves as a resource to Preferred Hotels & Resorts (PH&R) and Beyond Green (BG) sales needs as capacity allows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop business from the UK market for a portfolio of luxury hotels through sales activities and direct sales efforts.
  • Responsible for the organization and taking the lead on sales roadshows, sales events, showcases and FAM trips with a focus on the luxury market.
  • Escort member hotels on sales calls when sales roadshows are organized.
  • Be responsible for UK sales with luxury tour operators and travel partners, conducting regular product presentations and webinars.
  • Represent Calliope Collective hotels at various events, including sales blitzes, events, conferences, and on FAM trips to increase brand awareness and generate revenue.
  • Identify and target travel agency accounts with the potential to drive more revenue to the Calliope Collective portfolio of hotels.
  • Build effective working relationships with the Calliope Collective hotels through verbal and written means.
  • Create and maintain a database of all accounts in Calliope Collective’s CRM.
  • Report on industry trends.
  • The Manager actively promotes services of Calliope Collective and PTG Consulting with the goal of increasing brand awareness and growth of customer base.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Hotel luxury leisure sales experience - on-property or multi-hotel sales is required.
  • Expertise within the UK luxury leisure market essential.
  • Demonstrated, existing relationships with UK luxury travel advisors, tour operators, and wholesale partners, with a proven ability to activate those relationships commercially.
  • Experience in working with key luxury hotel consortia and programs such as Virtuoso, Signature, Serandipians and American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts.
  • Excellent relationship building skills; customer service oriented; ability to manage multiple tasks; analytical ability to interpret statistical data; proven presentation skills.
  • Must be extremely flexible and adaptable to constant change.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Proficient level of written and verbal English.
  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
  • Positive attitude and good communications skills.
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to work independently and as a team player.

Desired Experience

  • Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous.

Calliope Collective’s reputation and presence in the UK and European luxury hospitality market are strengthened through trusted partnerships and effective representation. Delivery of appropriate sales leads for Calliope Collective hotels, successful execution of client roadshows, events and FAM trips, as well as, strong client partnerships.

Working Conditions

This is a home-based role. Preferred Travel Group will offer technology requirements as needed.
