About Predyktable

Predyktable is building software that transforms how warehouses plan, schedule and deploy their workforce.

We combine forecast demand, predicted productivity, workforce availability and operational constraints to calculate labour requirements and recommend how best to use the people available.

Our software helps planners identify labour shortages and surpluses, optimise labour costs, respond to changing conditions and make better decisions without relying on complex spreadsheets and manual calculations.

Our aim is to remove the administrative burden of warehouse labour planning, freeing planners to spend less time maintaining spreadsheets, reconciling data and producing reports, and more time making better operational decisions.

The Role

We're looking for someone who has significant experience doing the job we're trying to make easier, and who understands the systems and data behind effective warehouse labour planning.

Someone who has developed or improved planning models, managed workforce requirements, analysed operational performance and understands how planning decisions affect the running of a warehouse.

You’ll work directly with our product and engineering teams, helping us validate our planning models, challenge assumptions and business rules, and develop functionality that reflects the realities of warehouse operations.

We're not looking to simply recreate existing planning processes in software. We want someone who can help us improve them.

This isn't a traditional warehouse planning role. It's an opportunity to help build the tools you would have wanted when you were doing the job yourself.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Labour Planning & Scheduling

  • Explain how warehouses forecast demand, calculate labour requirements and build operational plans.
  • Advise on how productivity, workforce availability, shift patterns and operational constraints influence planning decisions.
  • Provide insight into managing agency labour, overtime, absence, capacity constraints and task-level deployment.
  • Identify the operational exceptions, planning challenges and decisions that our software needs to accommodate.
  • Validate our labour planning outputs, ensuring calculations, assumptions and business rules reflect how warehouses operate in practice.
  • Review how demand, productivity, labour availability and operational constraints are used to calculate labour requirements and inform planning decisions.
  • Challenge existing planning rules and recommendations, identifying where alternative approaches could deliver better operational outcomes.
  • Advise on the key metrics, KPIs and operational insights warehouses use to monitor labour, productivity, costs and service performance.
  • Help identify the data and reporting requirements that support effective planning, performance monitoring and operational decision-making.

Process Improvement & Product Development

  • Map existing planning and scheduling workflows, identifying administrative inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate operational requirements into clear business rules and product functionality.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to challenge system behaviour and identify improvements.
  • Review software designs, prototypes and features to ensure they are intuitive and reflect real operational needs.
  • Help develop realistic planning scenarios and test cases to validate our labour planning and Intelligent Deployment capabilities.
  • Provide practical guidance on product features, functionality and usability, ensuring the software supports the day-to-day needs of warehouse planners and managers.

Experience & Skills

  • Significant hands-on experience in warehouse labour planning, resource management or operational analytics.
  • Experience in operationally complex warehouse environments, including managing competing demands, labour constraints and changing workloads.
  • Strong understanding of labour planning models, including how demand, productivity, workforce availability and operational constraints affect labour requirements.
  • Experience developing, improving or validating planning models, calculations or systems, rather than simply using them.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using operational data to improve planning accuracy, productivity or labour efficiency.
  • Understanding of warehouse performance metrics, reporting and operational KPIs.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements into business rules, challenge assumptions and identify improvements to system functionality.
  • Comfortable collaborating with product and technical teams, explaining operational requirements without needing to be a software developer.
  • Experience in enterprise-scale retail, grocery or third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse operations.
  • Experience in large warehouses with workforces of 500+ people.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience implementing or improving labour planning, workforce scheduling or warehouse management systems.
  • Experience in operational process improvement, automation or systems transformation.

What Success Looks Like

  • Product features & usability: Practical guidance on the features, functionality and user experience needed to ensure our new-to-market product is intuitive, useful and fit for the warehouse planners and managers it's designed for.
  • Validated planning models: Confidence that our calculations, assumptions, constraints and business rules produce realistic, operationally sound recommendations.
  • Improved planning approaches: Recommendations that challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve how labour planning and scheduling decisions are made.
  • Documented processes: Clear, practical workflows showing how warehouse labour planning and scheduling work, including operational exceptions and decision points.
  • Meaningful reporting: A clear understanding of the metrics, insights and reporting warehouse teams need to manage performance.
  • Identified product improvements: Prioritised opportunities to reduce administrative effort, address functional gaps and improve our product.
  • Reusable knowledge: Planning scenarios, calculations and business rules that support product development across different warehouse operations.

Who We're Looking For

An experienced warehouse planning and systems professional who understands the operational realities of labour planning, alongside the models, data and calculations that underpin it.

Someone who has gone beyond using planning tools to developing, improving or challenging how those tools work.

You’ll be comfortable working with operational and technical teams, assessing whether planning recommendations make sense and identifying opportunities to build something better.

Your experience will directly influence a new-to-market product designed to reduce administration, improve labour decisions and help warehouses operate more effectively.
