An established organisation is seeking an experienced Plumbing & Drainage Inspector or a Qualified Plumber to play a key role in ensuring all undertaken plumbing works complies with relevant QLD legislation. The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing plumbing and drainage compliance across residential, commercial and industrial developments. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure works meet legislative requirements and recognised industry standards. Your day-to-day will include reviewing plans, conducting site inspections and providing clear, practical advice on plumbing and drainage matters. You’ll also contribute to compliance activities, audits and registers relating to backflow prevention devices and on-site sewerage systems. This is a role suited to someone who values consistency, fairness and common-sense decision-making, and who enjoys balancing office-based technical work with time out in the field.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and assessing plumbing and drainage technical plans
- Conducting inspections across a variety of developments and sites
- Providing guidance to all relevant stakeholders
- Monitoring compliance with relevant plumbing, drainage and wastewater legislation
- Maintaining accurate records, registers and reports
What We’re Looking For
You will bring a strong plumbing background and a sound understanding of compliance in a regulatory environment.
- Current Queensland Plumber’s and Drainer’s Licences
- Solid experience across sewerage and water supply systems
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing and drainage legislation and Australian Standards
- The ability to interpret plans, assess risk and apply legislation
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with the public and industry
- A current unrestricted Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Endorsements in backflow prevention, on-site sewerage systems or hydraulic design will be highly regarded
Job Offer
Salary up to $103,000 plus superannuation (based on experience). Commuter use vehicle. Fantastic work environment with great work life balance. Relocation assistance can be discussed if required.
