We're looking for a talented Software Engineer with strong Integration and DevOps expertise to join our growing engineering team and help deliver innovative solutions that improve health outcomes. In this role, you'll play a key part in deploying PrecisionLife's portfolio of products through a diverse network of channel partners. Working as part of our product delivery team, you'll combine hands‑on software engineering with integration and deployment activities, ensuring our products are successfully implemented across new and existing platforms.
- Integrating products, data flows, and business processes into partner and client environments.
- Designing and maintaining deployment pipelines and DevOps processes to enable reliable and efficient delivery.
- Building high-quality, scalable software that supports product delivery and customer success.
- Helping solve complex technical challenges across cloud infrastructure, integrations, automation, and application delivery.
- Collaborating closely with product, design, operations, and engineering colleagues to deliver seamless customer experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working across the software development lifecycle, combining engineering excellence with practical implementation and deployment expertise in a fast‑growing, product‑driven organisation.
Responsibilities
- Work with pipeline frameworks: work to integrate software products and systems within new (e.g. snake make) or existing analytical frames (API integration).
- Integration: work with existing third‑party systems or with novel systems to deploy products of various types in the context of analytical or e‑commerce pipelines.
- Develop: Design, build, and review product applications (working across backend, cross-system integration and/or full‑stack).
- Write clean, testable code: contribute to code reviews, technical design docs, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate: with product and design teams to clarify requirements and deliver increments iteratively.
- Cloud: Provision and manage cloud resources (AWS/GCP).
- Containers & Orchestration: Build & test Docker images; deploy/operate diverse set of remote Docker deployments.
- CI/CD: Own and improve build/test/release pipelines, maintain and extend automatic code analysis.
- System Administration: Assist with system administration of development and production systems, define and manage backup strategies, automate deployment and administration tasks where appropriate.
- Other duties as required from time to time by the Management team.
Key Requirements
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (we use AWS & GCP).
- Containers (Docker) and cloud registries.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction, published frameworks an advantage (e.g. SnakeMake, Nextflow, Apache Airflow).
- Solid software engineering experience (development is mostly done in Python).
- Good understanding of core computer science concepts, common data structures and algorithms.
- Strong grasp of Git, branching strategies, and code review practices.
- Solid experience with Linux systems and configuration.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role or similar skill base.
Key Attributes
Collaboration sits at the heart of how we work. You’ll thrive in an environment where engineers partner closely with domain experts, product, QA, and operations teams, sharing responsibility for the systems we build and run. We value people who enjoy working together, contributing ideas, and helping create a strong sense of collective ownership.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive and pragmatic—someone who spots potential issues early, digs into root causes, and drives meaningful improvements without needing detailed direction.
