Precision AQ is building a unified enterprise data platform to consolidate fragmented data infrastructure and establish a single source of truth for healthcare and life sciences analytics. The Data Hub sits at the center of this transformation, responsible for ingesting, governing and delivering trusted data products to internal business units and client-facing products. We are hiring a Data Product Manager based in the UK or the Netherlands to be the connective tissue between the Data Hub and its consumers. You will own the intake process, translate business needs into well-defined data products and manage a roadmap that balances strategic priorities with operational realities. This is not a traditional project management role. You will be expected to understand data architecture deeply enough to challenge requirements, negotiate trade offs, and define what “done” looks like for data products with real SLAs. You will work across three primary stakeholder groups: Insights Hub, Evidence Solutions, and Product Solutions, each with distinct needs, timelines, and expectations. Your job is to make sure the Data Hub delivers what matters most, in the right sequence, without over promising or under delivering. Drive clarity and ensure that the work we do translates into measurable business value.
Responsibilities
- Own the Intake and Prioritisation Process: You will design and operate a unified intake process for all data requests across the enterprise. This includes triaging requests, gathering sufficient context to estimate effort, and working with stakeholders to prioritise against competing demands.
- Define Data Products with Clarity and Precision: You will translate business requirements into well-specified data product definitions, particularly at the Silver (cleansed, conformed) and Gold (business‑ready) layers of our medallion architecture. This means documenting schemas, business logic, refresh cadences, quality expectations, and SLAs. You’ll work closely with the Engineering Director to ensure alignment with platform standards.
- Manage the Data Hub Roadmap: You will own the 12-18 month roadmap for the Data Hub, balancing near‑term delivery commitments with longer‑term strategic initiatives. This includes maintaining a prioritized backlog, facilitating quarterly planning, and communicating roadmap status to stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be accountable for what we commit to and transparent about what we can’t.
- Lead Discovery and Requirements Engineering: For complex or ambiguous requests, you will lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Establish and Monitor SLAs: You will define service‑level agreements for data products, covering freshness, quality, availability, and support response times and work with engineering to ensure we meet them.
- Facilitate Cross‑Functional Collaboration: You will serve as the primary interface between the Data Hub and its consumers, running regular syncs with business units.
- Drive Adoption and Value Realization: You will track adoption metrics, gather feedback, and work with stakeholders to ensure that what we build actually solves their problems. You’ll report on value delivered and use that evidence to inform future prioritisation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, computer science, health informatics, or equivalent). Advance degree is a plus but not required.
- 4/5+ years in product management, technical program management, or a related role with demonstrated ownership of a product or platform.
- 2+ years working with data platforms, analytics products, or data infrastructure, not as a user, but as someone responsible for defining and delivering data capabilities.
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups with different incentives.
- Track record of shipping data products or features that were adopted and created measurable business value.
- Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies and product management tooling (Jira).
This role is for you if
- You’ve operated as a product manager or technical program manager in a data‑intensive environment and want to own a broader scope.
- You enjoy the ambiguity of building something new and can create structure where none exists.
- You are energized by stakeholder complexity, navigating competing priorities.
- You want to be close to the technical work without being the one writing the code.
- You care about healthcare or life sciences and want your work to have downstream impact on patient outcomes.
