Overview
Precision Recruitment is seeking experienced Plant Operators for a major energy infrastructure project in the Backton area, NR12. The project will begin in July/August and is expected to last at least 12 months. The client has a strong pipeline of projects across the region, offering long‑term opportunities for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360 Excavator, Dumper, Roller and Lift Supervisor equipment on the project site.
- Work around live services and underground pipework safely and efficiently.
- Perform both shallow and deep excavations for utilities and infrastructure works.
- Adhere to site health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work independently, using initiative and proactive problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications
- Valid CPCS or NPORS card.
- Experience as an excavator, dumper, roller or lift supervisor operator.
- Experience working around live services and underground pipework.
- Experience in shallow and deep excavation projects.
- Previous work on utilities or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, proactive and capable of independent work.
Working Hours & Compensation
Working hours: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm (10 paid hours each day). Pay range: £22.00 – £28.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications and plant tickets. Weekly pay available. The assignment is a minimum 12‑month engagement, with ongoing opportunities for future projects.
