The company requires a highly motivated and successful account manager to fit into their sales team. The role will entail a combination of customer service and account management, so the individual will need to display a high level of selling skills/techniques, use their own initiative, overcome objections, develop relationships, and strive to reach and exceed targets to ensure the continued growth of this fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business.
- Raise job cards for requirements up to 2 weeks ahead for planner.
- Place orders with suppliers.
- Answer general customer queries/issues over the telephone or email in a timely manner.
- Check off loads against schedule - ensure no issues.
- Update delivery performance monitor.
- Deal with day-to-day queries, i.e. reject stock at customer, supplying PODS, additional deliveries (where necessary), Overdues list (if any), chasing wagons, chasing deliveries required from supplier.
- Reduce old stocks.
- Handle queries regarding invoices and credits.
- Set up new parts when required.
- Ensure requirements are covered on a regular basis between monthly orders.
- Raise jobs for re-works.
- Liaise with Planning Manager on daily requirements to establish delivery quantities and times.
