The Company
Our established client is one of Europe\βs largest providers of electric vehicles.
They are seeking a Workshop Vehicle Technician to join their team in South London. You will receive training on servicing, repairing, and maintaining their electrical vehicle fleet. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the growing electric vehicle sector. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance from Southwark. Other titles may include Motorbike Technician, Automotive Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Mobile Mechanic, or Motorbike Mechanic.
The Role of Motorcycle Technician
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance on fleet electric mopeds and motorcycles.
- Refurbish ex-fleet motorbikes to MOT and company standards for delivery clients.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs; full product training will be provided.
- Conduct road tests to ensure proper operation after servicing or repairs.
- Manage stock control.
- Maintain workspace, tools, and equipment to standard.
- Comply with health and safety standards.
- Shadow engineers for hands-on training and knowledge acquisition.
- Attend training courses to update skills and knowledge.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous vehicle mechanic experience such as servicing, repairs, MOT, diagnostics, or similar.
- Level 3 City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in motor vehicle maintenance, vehicle mechanics, or motorcycle maintenance.
- Genuine interest in motorcycle maintenance and repair.
- Full UK Driving Licence or CBT Bike Licence.
- Reside within a reasonable distance to SE1 postcode.
- Organized work approach and effective time management.
- Keen to learn and improve performance.
Salary and Package
- Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (40 hours/week).
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
- Salary: Β£31,779 β Β£38,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Enhanced overtime pay at 1.5x.
- Full uniform and PPE provided.
