A well-established regional contractor is seeking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a prestigious residential development in Preston. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects, the business offers excellent long-term career prospects within a supportive and professional environment.
This Assistant Quantity Surveyor position will be based full-time on a residential construction project in Preston. You will be joining an established commercial team consisting of a Senior Quantity Surveyor and a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, providing an excellent opportunity to further develop your commercial skills and progress your career. Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist with the day-to-day commercial management of the project, supporting cost control, subcontractor management and commercial reporting throughout the construction programme.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally, we are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 12 to 18 months' experience within the construction sector.
- Main Contractor experience is preferred, although candidates from other construction backgrounds will also be considered.
- Residential sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
