A respected North West main contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new-build timber frame construction project and refurbishment package in the Warrington area. Due to sustained growth, the business is expanding its delivery team and requires a proven professional with strong construction management experience.

As Site Manager, you will oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of construction projects. You will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, subcontractor coordination, Health & Safety compliance, and programme management.

Key duties include:

  • Managing daily site operations and monitoring build progress
  • Leading subcontractor management, planning, and coordination
  • Ensuring works are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification
  • Delivering strong leadership across the site team
  • Upholding site safety, RAMS, quality assurance, and compliance
  • Providing weekly progress reports to the Contracts Manager

You will be an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record delivering timber frame or modern methods of construction (MMC) schemes from start to completion. You must demonstrate stable employment with reputable main contractors and experience leading as the No.1 on site for a minimum of 3 years. Please note: Candidates with only short freelance assignments or limited timber frame experience will not be considered.

Essential Requirements:

  • SMSTS (5 Day), CSCS Site Manager Card, First Aid at Work
  • Strong background in timber frame construction and full project lifecycle delivery
  • Experience working for main contractors on new-build projects
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, site reporting software, project management tools)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

You will receive a competitive salary of £55,000 + £5,000 car allowance + excellent benefits, with opportunities for long-term progression. This contractor is well-known for staff development, strong project pipelines, and a positive, inclusive working culture.
