We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team. To maintain, repair, and improve mechanical and electrical systems within a fast-paced printing production environment, ensuring machinery operates at optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all mechanical and electrical systems
- Provide fast response to breakdowns, including occasional out-of-hours support
- Diagnose and repair faults on printing and finishing equipment
- Undertake detailed diagnostic analysis of mechanical and electrical failures
- Use a broad range of engineering disciplines to resolve machine issues and implement improvements
- Assess, define and manage critical spares, maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors for parts and specialist support
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) legislation and company policies
- Maintain clear and accurate service and repair records, data logs, and reports
- Support and manage updates within the internal MIS/JIRA/Fault Fixer systems
- Replace and repair common parts including motors, belts, sensors, pulleys, and shafts
- Assist in the organisation of workshop areas and tools and maintain high standard of organization/clear working environment
- Manage relevant maintenance budgets and costs
- Support in training of staff for machinery best practice or low complexity reoccurring break fix
Qualifications/Training
- Good level of technical/mechanical/electrical education
- Relevant engineering training or certifications
- Must have worked in a Maintenance Manufacturing role
- Print industry experience (advantageous)
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Competent in IT systems and maintenance software
Hours of work
Monday-Friday - 11:00 – 19:00 including 30 minutes break. Must be flexible with working hours, including occasional out-of-hours & weekends support.
