The Scheduling Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for planning and scheduling manufacturing activity across Litho, Digital Print and Finishing , ensuring the right work is produced, on the right equipment and at the right time.
The role will provide a single point of ownership for the manufacturing schedule , balancing customer demand, machine capacity, labour, skills, materials, maintenance and production constraints to achieve OTIF, productivity, quality and cost targets .
Working closely with Production Managers, Operations, Customer Service, Quality and Engineering, the Scheduling Manager will ensure efficient flow from print through finishing and fulfilment , identifying risks and bottlenecks before they impact customers.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in production scheduling or planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Litho, Digital Print and Finishing processes .
- Experience scheduling multiple machines and production departments.
- Strong understanding of capacity planning, machine utilisation, labour planning and production flow .
- Experience using ERP/MRP and production management systems .
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities while maintaining focus on customer delivery and OTIF .
- Experience working in a high-volume, time-critical manufacturing environment .
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement .
- Experience of Peak planning and managing operational disruption.
