With Sales and Support Offices in the United States, the UK, India, and Poland, our client is a growing company looking for enthusiastic and motivated Field Service specialists to work for the UK office.
The Role of Field Service Engineer
As part of the Service Team, you will provide on-location Service and Support to existing customers. By providing timely, quality repair, maintenance, and installation of CNC Router Machines, this position plays a key role in ensuring customers experience reliability and superior customer service.
Successful candidates will have experience in performing repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment or machinery. This role is a field-based position, suitable candidate locations could include: Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Coventry, Peterborough, Birmingham, Northampton or surrounding areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professional Service, Installation and Maintenance of CNC Router Machines.
- PPMs and reactive maintenance.
- Electrical fault finding on control panels, wiring and AC/DC motors.
- Trains customers on CNC Router Machines.
- Resolves product and service-related concerns.
- From time to time provides customer telephone and online support.
- Conducts on-site service calls.
- Provides guidance and support to customers.
- Work with Factory Engineers on product development and system upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned, such as working in the office shop doing repairs or preparing machines.
Key Requirements:
- Must have experience servicing, maintaining or installing CNC Router, Waterjets or similar industrial machinery.
- Must have experience with CAD-based design software and/or computer science programs.
- Able to use a multimeter or voltage meter to diagnose faults.
- Valid UK driving licence and passport.
- Holds an electrical qualification or equivalent experience working with control panels and electric motors.
- The ability to travel Nationwide and to the factory in North America for training.
- Experience in a technical role, preferably troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience delivering strong customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- Experience demonstrating a high level of discretion with confidential information.
Salary/Package:
- Salary: Up to £40,000 per year. Starting salary will be dependent on industry experience.
- Door to door travel.
- 37.5 hour week Monday-Friday.
- Overtime paid at 1.3x hourly rate Mon-Saturday, Double time Sunday.
